Volume 10. Chapter 6: Sleepy Angel. (Chapter 907)

  Chapter 6: Sleepy Angel.

Celia didn’t remember Marni being this… silly. After thinking it over, the Highest Goddess figured that the Angel was merely mentally exhausted.

  Marni: “(~z~)”

Celia: “My only conversation partner on this island… seems to just love being in a self-induced coma.” She said with a laugh.

Currently, Celia and Marni were resting in a camp. They didn’t find other people, mind you. Instead, Celia just took out an entire camping setup from her Storage Ring. The Angel, despite being immortal, has actually been sleeping for over a week now.

  Thwack!

  Celia: “?”

  Crack!

  Celia: “???”

Out of nowhere, a dart had been shot toward Celia, aimed at her neck. Once it was proven to not be effective, an arrow was then sent, achieving the same result.

Fore: “Girl… you aren’t mortal, are you?” She asked after she approached the camp, weapon now drawn and pointing at Celia.

Celia: “Not even slightly. Feel free to poke me with that sword of yours. It won’t really do anything.” She replied with a yawn.

Fore: “So pompous… Just the type of personality that I’d expect from a Higher Being!” She said with a scoff, charging at Celia a second later.

  Snap!

  Fore: “…”

Before she could get even slightly close to attack, Fore had been retrained to the ground, golden chains trapping her. Those chains were conjured up by Celia, all with a snap of her fingers.

Fore: “Higher Beings… their Magic… does this land not block Mana for them as well as it does us mortals?” She asked in shock, horror clear on her face.

Celia: “Yes, Higher Beings are affected.” She replied without much care, floating Fore closer to herself and the sleeping Angel.

Fore: “Lies! These chains are clearly Magic…” She exclaimed with great anger, feeling like a plaything to a remorseless Higher Being.

Celia: “Even for us, Mana is drained and restoration of it is fully blocked, but Divinity isn’t.” She clarified with a laugh. “I don’t really have a grasp of using Divinity, though. It took both Marni and me to figure out how to use my Storage Ring via Divinity…” She secretly thought with endless embarrassment.

  Fore: “( o_o)”

As a Highest Goddess, Celia had an immense well of Divinity to draw from. With Mana being so useful, and Celia knowing how to utilize it better than anyone else… Divinity manipulation wasn’t a priority skill to learn.

Frankly, Divinity wasn’t supposed to be a resource in Runey’s revamped System. This happened last time as well, and we never quite figured out why Divinity came back.

  Rumble!

  Fore: “(/ />/ _ /
Celia: “Were you trying to kill us… to get our food?” She said with a raised eyebrow, tone that of complete and utter confidence.

Fore was unable to resist looking at the food impatiently, alongside the woman’s growling stomach… told Celia all she needed to know.

Fore: “That…” Her words stopped there, both from embarrassment, and what Celia quickly did next.

  Shove!

Celia: “Eat, silly. My wives, kids, and friends always praise my cooking. Do please enjoy.” She expressed with a giggle, now calmly (force) feeding the restrained woman.
