Volume 10. Chapter 7: Getting Some Info. (Chapter 908)

  Chapter 7: Getting Some Info.

Fore: “How many meals do you even have in that Storage Ring?” She asked with a shaky tone, which was hard to take seriously, with the food stuck to her cheeks.

Celia: “Hm… I stopped really counting… long ago. Perhaps a few hundred thousand, more than enough to survive for a long time.” She answered with an unsure tone.

Fore: “…” “Higher Beings don’t even need to eat…” She said in her mind, unable to grasp Celia’s personality.

Even with the new System, Higher Beings rarely eat. This wasn’t something that would ever change, and Celia’s family were utter outliers.

It is somewhat similar to Cultivators, with Higher Beings maintaining their Hunger Stat via just Divinity. Which isn’t something that they have to intentionally do; it just happens naturally.

Celia: “Do you have any understanding of this island?” She asked with a serious tone.

Fore: “No, I don’t know much about it.” She denied, while not even looking up from her newest meal, which was a tasty-looking steak.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

Celia: “Oh, did you just get here, like us? Marni’s been trapped on this island for a little over two weeks, and I ended up here a few days ago.” She asked with a caring tone, seeming to feel for Fore’s situation.

Fore: “I’ve been stuck in this place for 3 years, going on 4.” She nonchalantly clarified.

  Celia: “( ? _ ? )”

After she said this, Celia then looked the woman all over. As a mere Human, Fore’s life on this (forceful) island vacation was horrible.

When she came across Celia, she was skinny, and, in truth, likely couldn’t have killed Celia, even if she was still Human. This is probably why Fore already gave up against Celia, and is now just chowing down, like a domesticated animal.

Celia: “What about other people?” She asked with a worried tone.

Fore: “They exist, yes. There are even relatively large cities on this island. Unfortunately…” She didn’t finish her words… as she went for another bite.

Celia: “Unfortunately?” She repeated, but only after the girl’s mouth was free to speak.

Fore: “You have to be Level 40 to get into even the smallest one. I’ve been killing everything that I possibly can for years… but I am still just Level 8.” She explained with a deeply saddened tone and expression.

When you’re a Higher Being, Lower Beings are easy to read. They can’t even lie, most of the time, with Higher Beings instantly knowing if they spoke the truth or not. Celia has this ability, with Runey really not caring to remove it for her revamp. So… Celia knew that Fore wasn’t lying at all.

Celia: “Wait… is everyone on this island… did they not have a System before getting here?” She said with an unsure thinking pose.

Fore: “I didn’t, and from those I’ve talked to… it was the same for them. It is stupidly like an isekai manga or anime.” She replied with a long groan.

  Celia: “…”
