Volume 10. Chapter 60: An Unpleasant Role. (Chapter 961)

  Chapter 60: An Unpleasant Role.

Narrator Vulely: “Why tell me this? I am your enemy…” I ask with a conflicted tone.

Eternanel: “There is nothing stopping me from assisting your group. I am not a robot, nor am I a mere puppet.” She answered with a scolding tone, like I was in the wrong.

  Narrator Vulely: “…”

Eternanel: “I have killed my daughters several times now, and wish to do it no more. Rest assured, though my role isn’t one that I can break… if you and your family manage to kill me, then no one else will ever block your path again.” She added with a blinding smile.

Eternanel then closed her eyes, and refused to open them again. No matter how many times that I stabbed her with my sword, the Mana woman barely reacted at all.

Since she was still very much alive… this was obviously her nice way to tell me to fuck off back to the past. But she won’t trick me that easily. I mean, she gloated about Celia’s body being the perfect vessel! Would a mother say such a thing about their daughter, whom they just spent a decent while expressing their love for?

Narrator Vulely: “I won’t leave just yet, Eternanel.” I informed with a stern tone.

This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

Eternanel: “How come? I cannot return to the past… unless you do. Currently, my strength is nowhere near enough to take you down, so you be unwilling to leave means that we’re at a complete stalemate.” She explained with a worried tone.

  Narrator Vulely: “(~OAO)”

Upon realizing her words, Eternanel looked like she wanted to put her (nonexistent) hand over her mouth, but it was too late. I now had confirmation that, until I go and return to narrate the past, Eternanel can’t do anything else to harm us.

I must have repeated this statement many times by now… but morals don’t mean very much at all to Higher Beings, even to the more moral ones like those of my family. A smug smile on my lips, I made a dangerous and crazy decision, which I do not know how it’ll affect the future.

Narrator Vulely: “Before I leave… Why did you sound like an evil villain when talking about Celia’s body?” I ask with a serious and curious tone, getting down on my knees to get closer to Eternanel.

Eternanel: “Nemu is close to ruining her body, and mine is ruined simply from age. Celia, on the other hand, her body is in perfect shape.” She nonchalantly answered.

  Narrator Vulely: “…”

Eternanel: “Thinking over my words from a while ago… I agree that I did sound evil. I promise that I was merely praising Celia, and I have no intentions of ever taking over her body. Especially if you win, which would mark my death.” She continued with a slight blush on her face.

Narrator Vulely: “Then… why are you in her body right now?” I replied with a raised eyebrow.

Eternanel: “…Have you ever seen a very youthful, cute dress, that you wished to try on, despite mature clothing fitting you best? I didn’t plan on facing you in disguise, you just caught me while I was looking at myself in the mirror, leading to me quickly setting up this uncreative facade, which you easily saw straight through.” Was her very weak, utterly insane reply.

  Narrator Vulely: “(- _ -)”
