Chapter 43: A Moment… Moments To Myself.
I am quite the coward… When I go back to narration, I end up in a void, very to the one that the others have been going to lately. In that emptiness, I stood there, doing nothing at all for… I don’t even know how long.
That future was the another worst outcome for us, both real, and not real. Simply put; regardless of what Celia decides to do once I go back to narrating, I’ll be there to protect her. That devastating timeline is due to me being absent.
Narrator Vulely: “…”
I couldn’t watch as Celia died. The moment that she started vanishing, turning into pure Mana… I fled. Now… I’ve been traumatized, all because I wanted to pull a prank. When did I become like…
Nemu: “Everyone seems to lose a decent bit of IQ points when around Celia. You shouldn’t feel bad about it.” She said with a laugh.
Narrator Vulely: “???”
How… Nemu was in my workplace, real as can be. She should be stopped in time! And, no. There is not the future Nemu, this is absolutely the past Nemu!!!
Nemu: “Surprised? It isn’t actually that hard to understand. How I am here, that is.” She expressed with a haughty tone, arms behind her back.

Narrator Vulely: “I use Mana to do the narration, is that how? If so… then Celia can appear out of time as well!!!” I say with an utterly shocked tone.
Nemu: “She can, that’s correct. Fortunately, Celia will likely never use her true power. It goes against her morals, you see. One of these days… she’ll have to use it, her control over Mana, existence itself.” She explained with a shrug, tone somewhat grim.
In that future… Celia must not have done so, which guaranteed her death. After all, Mana and Divinity was bleeding out completely in that timeline, so Celia couldn’t do anything by that point.
Nemu: “Anyway, you’ve been here for well over a month… I’ve gotten pretty bored with being frozen, which is why I’ve come here to see you, Vulely.” She said with a serious tone, walking closer to me.
Narration Vulely: “I…” She cut me off.
Nemu: “Why are you slacking off on your important job? Vulely, you went back to the present, yes? Did you… see something bad?” She sternly asked, now seeming to look deep into my very soul.
Slash!
Before she could look into my memories, I quickly took out my sword, and slashed at her with it. As for her power… Assuming that I don’t go to the present, the future Celia’s strength is still backing me up.
Nemu: “Attacking family like this… You’d make the others very sad. Worry not, as I won’t tell them of this little spat of ours.” She mused with a light tone, not taking out any weapon of her own.
Narrator Vulely: “And I thank you for that kindness. But…” I reply with a sincere tone.
Nemu: “You’re welcome.” She added, cutting off my next sentence.
Narrator Vulely: “…” “Why isn’t she afraid?” Were my thoughts at that time, that I now know had been extremely foolish words to think…
