Zelda Valentine was once an Adjudicator for the Grand Coven of Sorcery, a governing body that sets and enforces laws for witches and wizards across the globe from under the noses of normal people. She was among those who would find and apprehend magicians who had broken the laws set forth by the Coven. However, after an assignment went bad, Zelda herself broke one of the Coven''''s strictest laws, and has been branded a dark witch.
