  Chapter 16: They Already Departed!

Celia: “Where are we flying to?” She asked in confusion.

Carma: “Veil never lands, with those admitted required to go to a meeting point. They’d then be flown up to the Academy.” She explained.

Ria: “Since we can fly, there is no point in going to that place. Instead, we’ll just go right to Veil’s entrance.” She added.

Alisa: “New students flying directly to Veil on their own… how comical.” She said with a laugh.

Bare minimum, those admitted to Veil were, on average, Level 100 or more. Flying isn’t something achievable unless a person is Level 300.

As such, it was normal to have new students, which was a rare occasion, to be flown to Veil, and given a tour. Unfortunately, Celia, Carma, Alisa, Mena, and Ria all skipped this.

  A Bit Later.

Celia: “There isn’t anyone here…” She said with an awkward tone.

Veil’s entrance had a large door, and, even with their admission slips, it wouldn’t open. Only staff of the Academy were able to cause the door to open, and none were present.

Alisa: “…They, or someone, might be waiting for us down below.” She said with an embarrassed tone, realizing that they got ahead of themselves a bit.

Ria: “Celia, I’ll go inform whoever is waiting of our arrival.” She said with a laugh, soon leaving the group.

Watching her fly down, Celia sighed. Carma then pulled out a couch, tea table, and still warm sweets from her storage ring. Her sister would never want for anything… Carma was intent on keeping this promise forever.

  Ten Minutes After That.

Jeru: “Apologies for the wait. I wasn’t aware that you all could fly. I am Jeru, the principal of this prestigious Academy.” She said with a proper bow, which seemed… off to those here.

Flying was one thing… but high altitude was another. One hundred percent of the students accepted into Veil... would pass out from being taken to the entrance.

Even if one could fly, the pressure of gravity wasn’t something for mortals to deal with. Unless you were Level 500 or higher, flying high was foolish.

Celia: “Nice to meet you, Principal Jeru.” She said with a respectful tone and curtsy.

Jeru: “Likewise, dear. Now then, please show me your Statuses. Don’t worry, I won’t judge you for being a lower Level than me.” She requested with a calm expression.

Jeru was the strongest being at Veil, being the principal for hundreds of years now. The woman, though young looking, was in her late 800s of Levels. At such a high Level, Jeru didn’t bother to train further, as none could hope to match her. Well… that theory came to an end today…

Once Everyone Showed Their Statuses, Later.

  Jeru: “…”

  Everyone Else: “…”

Jeru: “Welcome to Veil, please enjoy your stay. I hope that you’ll learn well... and train just as hard during your attendance.” She said with a forced smile, making the door open.

Ria was a High Goddess, and so were Carma and Alisa. Jeru heard the rumors, but thought them to be false. Now having her life’s efforts be clearly insulted… the woman was unsure how to feel.
