  The two were nestled in a bed, just hugging each other. They didn’t care that this was in the open, and the monsters, though not having much intelligence to speak of, stayed well away from them.

  Zexian: “Gua…Demon Empress, your Daoist Companion is sucking up all the Qi of Veil. If this keeps up… there will be no more Qi to speak of within days!” She exclaimed with a serious tone and expression, willing to even die for this.

  Guanyu: “I found that Qi can act as Exp, but even a lot is merely a few 1,000 or more Exp. I seem to have forgotten that I was doing this…” She answered with an embarrassed tone.

  Zexian: “…” “The Demon Empress was funneling all the Qi into her wife… This Celia truly did steal Guanyu’s heart, and very Soul.” She thought with a relieved sigh.

  As she snapped her fingers, Zexian felt that Qi was no longer being pulled to Celia. This further relaxed the Sect Leader, and she was about to leave before the Demon Empress stopped her.

  Guanyu: “Where is your apology?” She said with her arms crossed.

  Zexian: “For… for what?” She shakily replied.

  Guanyu: “You came here to ask us about leaving Veil, did you not?” She said with a confident, angry tone.

  Zexian: “I…” She couldn’t speak more than that.

  Without even making a move, countless evil swords appeared around Zexian, trapping her, waiting for one command from the Demon Empress to end her long life. Zexian assumed that this was her death, but she didn’t regret it. At least some Cultivators would make it to Heaven…

  Guanyu: “My wife speaks the truth.” She replied, dismissing the weapons, before then gently pulling Celia back into the bed.
