Volume 10. Chapter 12: Beastly Encounter! (Chapter 913)

  Chapter 12: Beastly Encounter!

Since the group just stayed out in the open, the Guardian’s path didn’t get altered at all. Rather, Celia stood in front of two weaker members of her party, arms crossed, and with a faint smile on her face.

  Stomp!

Treng: “I, Treng, the Guardian of this wondrous forest, has come to seek justice for its destruction!” She loudly exclaimed.

  Celia and her group: “…”

Treng was a large wolf, similar to Fenrir in fiction. The wolf found her targets, and she didn’t bother to ascertain their power. Treng merely stood proudly before them, boasting all the way.

Treng: “You vicious fools, who seek to harm, and have harmed, my domain… Shall not go unpunished!” She continued, getting ready to start her attack.

Celia: “…” “Is this how I look and sound like when talking about my strength? For my image, I need to be more casual in the future…” She secretly thought, gaining some unwanted self-awareness.

Treng: “Rejoice, as I am here to swiftly end the lives of you worthless ants, you pitiful peons who have disrupted the peace. Weaklings, fear not, as I will make your deaths painle…” Her words cut off there.

  Celia: “?”

Treng: “…” “This woman is… more powerful than anyone ever should be! This is bullshit!!! Am I getting scammed out of my pay… are my employers intentionally getting me killed?!…” She thought in grand confusion, now worried for her very life.

In that inner rant, Treng no longer spoke as if she only knew Old English. Hmm… employer, huh? This means that there is something even more interesting going on with this island!!!

Treng: “May I live?” She pleaded, now bowing down to Celia, which was funny, as Treng was 10 times the woman’s size.

Celia: “I don’t have a habit of killing those who haven’t hurt my family. And you, besides boasting like an edgy teenager, haven’t attempted to attack us.” She replied with a haughty laugh.

Treng: “Lest, I was merely…” Once more, her words stopped there, but the pause wasn’t from shock…

Narrator Vulely: “Celia, I heard this girl’s thoughts, and she is employed by someone. Treng even speaks like a modern woman in her mind, as well.” I inform after freezing time.

Celia: “Eh? Wait… how can you freeze time?” She replied with her own brand of confusion.

Technically, I can’t pause time and keep just one person not being affected by it. Rather, I had made a guess of what Celia is, and I was right. Celia isn’t being stopped, even though I have paused my narration. I explained this to her, but she refused to clarify any further, saying that she’ll tell me in the future.

Celia: “Why break out of your role again? I was honestly expecting to not be able to talk to you for a long time…” She asked with a cute head tilt.

Narrator Vulely: “Perhaps you’ve poisoned me, but I absolutely refuse to be manipulated by some unknown force. Whoever is controlling this situation… I don’t find it entertaining enough, and such a thing is beneath your talents, Celia.” I earnestly explain.

Celia: “Oh…” Was all she replied with, before then doing a thinking pose.
