Volume 10. Chapter 41: A Sticky Situation. (Chapter 942)

  Chapter 41: A Sticky Situation.

Narrator Vulely: “Are you done joking now, Celia? I still have no idea why you’d even need to hide from your family…” I asked with a deadpan tone.

Celia: “I’m not making a joke.” She replied with a serious tone.

  Narrator Vulely: “???”

Celia: “Listen… that Higher Being is who I need to hide from. They have traces of Mana from Home on them, and are… far stronger than me.” She continued, clarifying what she meant.

What… That can’t be true! Celia’s group is supposed to be the most powerful around, with only those in Home being stronger. And that gap will instantly vanish after our family’s next Evolution…

Narrator Vulely: “You said that you came to this Dimension to look for a place to stay!” I exclaimed, accusing Celia for lying.

Celia: “I did. It is not my fault that the first Dimension I go to… houses a secret powerhouse.” She replied with a nonchalant, but clearly forced, shrug.

  Narrator Vulely: “( ’-’ ~)”

With her truth being already revealed, I actually couldn’t blame Celia for this. She definitely wasn’t lying, and, like always… Celia just had some interesting luck.

Narrator Vulely: “Wait… is that why you’ve been sitting at this café, doing nothing?!” I say with a tone of shocked realization.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

Celia: “Correct. If that Higher Being was willing to kill innocent bystanders to get me… this would be a very dangerous encounter. Thankfully, they seem to be somewhat benevolent, so I don’t have to protect these people.” She admitted with a hearty laugh.

  Narrator Vulely: “…”

  Celia: “?”

Narrator Vulely: “Staying here is meaningless, then. Let’s just leave, and pretend that we never discovered this unknown Higher Being.” I tenderly suggest after calming down.

Celia: “Why, I’d just very, very much love to do that. Unfortunately; with that Higher Being’s superior strength, it is impossible for us to leave this Dimension. Even you, of such a high position… cannot leave, Vulely.” She explained with a decently grim tone and expression.

She must be joking… Regardless of this Higher Beings power, I have the future Celia backing me, who is now even stronger than she was originally. Celia is underestimating me. I will not just leave this Dimension… I shall refute Celia’s claim, by shoving this truth in her face, the future Celia’s face!!!

  Returning To Present Later.

As I look around, I am immensely confused. I did, in fact, arrive in the present… but it was different. And I was… injured. Unable to stand up any longer, I almost fall, before then leaning on a crumbling wall and catching myself.

I could barely stop the blood from pouring out from my mouth… I left that Dimension, but the cost was 99% of my Divinity, and almost dying. Looking at my HP Stat, since the System isn’t frozen in the present… I saw that I had merely 100 HP remaining. A very laughable number, considering what my max HP Stat is…

Narrator Vulely: “Home…” Even if my lungs weren’t full of blood, I’d still be speechless, unable to say anymore than that.

Not even a few days ago… this place was peaceful, vibrant, and utterly beautiful. It had perfectly fit the name it was given. But, now… it was a crumbled wasteland. What changed?!

Narrator Vulely: “Celia!” I yelled in horror, no longer caring about narration even slightly…
